We recently completed a beautiful renovation project in Bloomington where we gave this 1980’s traditional-styled home a modern updated look. We partnered with Retreat Design Build Renovate to help make the homeowners vision a reality. The project highlights consist of a new designer kitchen and garage addition along with renovating the entire main floor. New smooth ceilings, enameled cabinetry and millwork, along with some custom stained finishes are just a few elements that played into the new modern design.
Another way to transform an interior space in your home is to update your stairway. The homeowners swapped out their traditional stained wood banister and carpeted stairs for a gorgeous updated look. Given enamel’s highly durable quality, it’s a great choice for this high traffic area.
BEFORE
Enamel was used on the banister, stair railing and risers. Stain was used on the stair treads. The combination of enamel and stain bring a nice blend of traditional and modern styles together.
AFTER
Products Used: Sherwin Williams oil-based enamel in White Dove with a Satin finish.
