“I used Distinctive Drywall and Painting to repaint my main floor and 2-story foyer, including trim, railing, ceiling, island and built-ins in the living room. I am so happy with the results and how great their team was to work with!

They did the project in the middle of winter and were able to use enamel that had less odor since we couldn’t really open doors/windows. They expertly protected carpet, furniture, fixtures, areas that weren’t getting painted. They were courteous and went the extra mile when certain things came up that weren’t expected. I had started painting the dining room on my own and it was not looking good, so they were able to fix that to perfection. We also had some popcorn ceiling removed and painted – it looks great now. They fixed some peeling window stain and painted. I felt their knowledge of their products and the direction they were able to guide us in was excellent.

They are very solution-driven and communicative. The best solution came with the scalloped apron detail in the older cabinet work above the sink. My goal was to remove it entirely, but they discovered the way it was installed would cause damage to the soffit. The solution they came up with was to put a piece of wood over it with a trim piece added and sand it smooth to be flush with the cabinets and paint it to match. It hides the scalloped apron and looks updated. Overall, very thankful and pleased with how kind the whole team was and how connected and efficient they were. I plan to use Distinctive again for the painting on the upper floor when that happens and other areas in the home, including staining some additional wood trim. I highly recommend them!”

“We had decided to replace our kitchen cabinets and also the ceramic tile back-splash. We didn’t realize how much damage we could do removing tile. We destroyed the Sheetrock. I thought I could patch it but had already made a big enough mess. I heard about Distinctive from another person and thought I would check it out. I drove by their office and decided to stop in. I was met by a very cheery receptionist who said she would find someone to help me with my dilemma. She brought the owner of the company out to listen to my problems. I had cabinets sitting at the cabinet shop and I’m sure they were tired of storing them. I was on a pretty tight schedule. The owner, Joe Shimanski, said they were pretty busy but he would try and get out to take a look at it. Within a few days he came out with his estimator and said if I liked their bid he would try to squeeze me in. I accepted their bid which I thought was very reasonable. They had to tear out 2 walls and replace with new rock and then tape. Within a few days his crew was on the job and within a few days they were gone. Job completed and looking better than new. It was cleaner in our kitchen when they left than before they came. I have never seen a crew so polite, clean, and professional in my life. They made sure there wasn’t a speck of dust anywhere. I can’t say enough about the experience with this company. I will definitely call them first before starting another project like this.”
